The IRC Voices program empowers refugee and immigrant highschool students to share their life tales with different students locally. Global Classroom – Opening students’ minds to “People and Places” across the globe. Teachers can assign creative studying initiatives and college students trade pictures and emails with other far-away school rooms. From the backyard to the moon, the Children’s Museum of Tacoma celebrates the ability of play in the life-long journey of learning. Our imaginative setting reaches beyond home and college experiences, nurturing development and growth as young kids and their adults discover the world collectively.

The Language Learning Center offers services and sources to support language research and instruction at the college. The UW Educational Outreach division offers conventional programs along with a comprehensive lineup of alternative choices including online studying, certificate packages, English language lessons, payment-based degrees and one of the largest summer season quarters within the country. UWEO also manages an academically-wealthy summer season youth program for youngsters from kindergarten through high school. The East Asia Resource Center provides a wide range of programming for K-12 educators interested in learning and teaching about China, Japan, and Korea. Among the EARC’s diverse offerings are workshops, summer institutes, research excursions to Asia, a broad resource collection, and a free quarterly newsletter.

For more than 100 years, Woodland Park Zoo has been a cherished community useful resource and a singular city oasis. Generations of Puget Sound families have come to the zoo and marvel at the animals and are impressed by the peaceful and beautiful environment. Woodland Park Zoo serves as a vital educational resource for teachers and students throughout the state.

There are also the professionals who present providers or products that support the sphere of international education. Our mission is to offer a course of studies and outreach programs to prepare our college students to enter the worldwide society, confidently and capably.

TakingITGlobal for Educators provides rich, interactive world learning experiences by leveraging the resources of the world’s most popular on-line community for youth who wish to make a difference. Sister Island Project is a non-revenue organization dedicated to fostering respectful international friendship and cultural, instructional, and technical trade. In addition, Sister Island Project promotes awareness of points that problem creating nations and collaborates with Dominicans on mutually beneficial humanitarian initiatives. The IRC is the world’s leading non-revenue, non-sectarian, volunteer organization offering relief and resettlement companies to refugees from all over the world.
